Nana’s Old Fashioned Fudge


  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Butter size of an egg (about 3 oz.)
  • 2 squares bakers’ chocolate


  • Put all ingredients into a heavy saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes making sure it doesn’t stick
  • Remove from heat
  • Beat with a whisk until cooled down and then put into a dish to harden.
