Simple, elegant, delicious!!
- 1 prime rib roast
- 10 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- Bring meat to room temperature.
- Rub roast with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Roast meat for 15 minutes at 500 degrees; this will sear the meat and help retain its juices. Turn down the oven to 350 degrees and cook meat for 15 minutes per pound for rare, 20 minutes per pound for medium rare, and 25 minutes per pound for well done. Do not include the 15 minutes at 500 degrees in calculating the cooking time
