Grouper is a wonderful, flaky fish that makes a great summer meal. I always have a grouper sandwich when I’m in Tampa at Frenchy’s and it always makes me feel like I’m on vacation even when I am there on business.
This recipe for Lemon Pepper Grouper Sandwiches reminds me of my Tampa experience. I buy fresh grouper at the fish store, but you can probably find it in your local market. The lemon pepper adds a nice flavor to the grouper. It is light and not overpowering. I like my lemon pepper grouper sandwich buried in tartar sauce and garnished with iceberg lettuce and a fresh sliced summer tomato. I usually serve chips on the side but you can add whatever side you like best – fries, coleslaw, potato salad, etc.
